The director of Elden Ring reveals the greatest challenges during the development of the game

The development of video games can be a long and difficult process, and several challenges may arise. This is true even for industry veterans as Hid eta Miyazaki. In an interview published in the number 367 of Edge magazine, the principal was asked about some mechanics or particular game system to be particularly difficult to hit in Anglo de Elder. Miyazaki shared that one of the biggest problems that the Developer From software faced was to find ways to make sure that the world of the game remained interesting for the players, at the same time that it provided a significant amount of freedom.

There was a series of challenges that, of course, came with the scope of this game and the world. There are many areas in which we have had to use proof and error since we created the Dark Souls series, Ireland on those mechanics and formulas, expanding them in this new sense of scale. A lot of this was related to the tempo of the game: the rhythm and flow of the game, to prevent the player from boring, to keep him interested, exploring and having fun. And, of course, in this huge new world we have created, we wanted to prioritize the fun and level of freedom of the player more than anything. So with that come many characters, many events that you are trying to incorporate, and you do not want anything to trample the fingers of anything else, you want everything to mix and fit well with the player and his own motivations as well. But you want me to be there, and you want me to give you that stimulus to advance and explore. So probably and one of the biggest challenges.
