Is GTA 5 on PS5 a free update for PS4 players? Probably not

How to download GTAV on PS5 Rockstar has just published a host of new details about the PlayStation 5 version of Grand Theft Auto V - and you can read everything about them by clicking on this link. But there is still an important question to which Rockstar did not answer correctly: will there be a kind of upgrade path for PS4 players?

There is no mention of prices or upgrades in any of the documents that Rockstar sent, so we assume that there will probably no upgrade path for the owners of GTA5 PS4.

It should also be noted that GTA Online will be free for PS more subscribers on PS5, from March 15th and for three months.

Given that GTA5 has now almost ten years - initially launched in 2013 for PS3 - you could certainly say that there should be an upgrade option for existing players. But at the same time, you can completely see Rockstar's commercial brain thinking behind what is essentially another reissue of its most successful game. The reality is that people will buy this new PS5 version even if it sells at a strong price.

The pre-orders of GTA5 on PS5 will be posted on March 8, so we should know with certainty what will happen next week.
